What It’s Like to Be the CEO of a Big Company with Josh Connally

Wouldn’t you love the chance to hear some advice from your future self?

Think of today’s guest as your future self telling you what to do at the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey.

Today I’m going to chat with Josh Connally, the CEO and president of CBG Surveying. He’s going to tell us all about what it’s like to be the CEO of a big company, and what he’s learned over the years.

He’s done a lot of personal reflection, growth, and changing, and this is a great opportunity to learn from someone who is humble enough to recognize his flaws and do something about them.

Josh started surveying for his father’s survey business (Doug Connally’s & Assoc.) right out of high school and worked his way through every aspect of the company. Doug Connally opened an East Texas office in 2000, and Josh went to Sulphur Springs, Tx, to open and run that office. After completing the state-required training, Josh completed his R.P.L.S testing and has been registered in the State of Texas since 2004. Since that time, Josh has specialized in Commercial, ALTA, Residential, and Large Metes and Bounds Surveys.

In 2009 Josh and Bryan Connally opened CBG Surveying in DFW and it has expanded into Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. CBG has been awarded twice with the Dallas100 fastest-growing companies and employs over 150 people.
